Agriculture across Europe faces growing challenges related to plant pests and
diseases, climate change, and the need for more sustainable farming practices. In this context, digital innovation plays an increasingly important role in helping farmers and agricultural stakeholders improve plant health monitoring, strengthen early detection, and make more informed decisions. Advanced technologies, including hyperspectral imaging and AI-powered solutions, offer new opportunities to support more effective pest surveillance and agricultural resilience.
The AFL Capacity Building Workshop, taking place on 11 November 2026, during
the GreenTech Conference in Lithuania, will explore how innovative digital
technologies can support plant health monitoring and pest detection in real agricultural environments. The workshop will showcase outcomes from the Horizon Europe STELLA project, share practical experiences and lessons learned from the Lithuanian Use Case Pilot (UCP3) at the Varėna pilot farm, and highlight the potential applications of hyperspectral cameras in agriculture.
Organised by AFL within the framework of the Horizon Europe STELLA project, the
workshop will provide an opportunity for farmers, researchers, technology providers, agricultural advisors, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and discuss opportunities for integrating advanced monitoring technologies into agricultural practices.
